Many of the loco's allocated to the Waterloo- Exeter and Paddington-
Banbury/Oxford routes recieved the house colours of their owner, Network SouthEast. There
was two styles of NSE livery, the earlier style, with swept up sides, and the later
version, with just straight lines and a darker shade of blue. All remaining class 47's
have now lost NSE livery, the last being 47 711

Tinsley. This was the first loco to receive NSE livery, and was painted for the launch in
June 1986.

through Alexandra Palace on 8 May 1987. The headboard was to
commemorate the final diesel loco-hauled Kings X - Peterborough
commuter train (the 17:13 service).
